I had the chance to watch the movie titled "HITCHCOCK" yesterday and I think it's been a great experience.
I extremely love Alfred Hitchcock and, even if I've not seen all his movies yet, I consider him one of the best Directors we've ever had!
Vertigo and
The Rear Window are two of my favourit movies ever, he's ironic, smart, brilliant!!
His sense of humor is typically British and I suggest you to go to the tube station called Leytonstone, in London, to admire all the mosaics in his memory (Alfred Hitchcock was born at 517 High Road, Leytonstone, in the east of London
on 13th August 1899)!
The movie mainly shows the relationship with his wife (what a big support and strong woman she was!!) and his feelings which boosted him to make
Psycho.
The real message to me is that he didn't accept to be considered too old or accomplished, so he risked his reputation and his own villa to finance the script that Paramount and the censorship tried to obstruct till the end.
He pushed himself beyond the limits (his fears and the whole motion picture industry) and he realized what's still considered his best commercial success ever!!
I personally think this was the secret of his huge success (and this is the secret of every successful mankind): every day is a new day, despite your age, your past, your certainty!
